Is a pickup date guaranteed?
Not usually. Because the industry is route-based, it may take some extra time to get to your boat, especially if you live in the middle of nowhere, away from major freeways. What most boat shippers will do is give you a window for pickup. So, if you want your boat picked up on May 9th, the shipping company will probably give you a window between May 8th and 11th. This also gives the trucking companies a break because things happen and they can fall behind schedule (although this is uncommon). Be wary of companies that guarantee a pickup date, because you could be left holding the bag.

Boat Shipper Service

An boat shipper service is what an boat shipper actually provides, which is shipping boats. Boat shippers are different from boat ship brokerages in the sense that they actually ship the boat as opposed to set up the ship thereof. They are the company that will actually be shipping the boat. Part of the boat shipper service is communication – when you setup your ship, your boat shipper will let you know where they can pick up the boat – some cities or towns have restrictions as to where large trucks can travel, so sometimes they will ask you to meet them in a large parking lot on the outskirts of the town if that is the case.

Good news for the Auto SHIPPING industry.. FINALLY

Bankruptcy court can’t be a fun thing to experience…

it’s monday, july 13th, and here is your automotive news for today. it seems that gm’s bankruptcy isn’t going as smoothly as they may have initially wish it. during their bankruptcy hearings they announced their plans to close thousands of dealerships, ultimately saving the company billions of dollars (which makes even wonder if they considered other areas that they could cut back, perhaps we all need to read a little more deeply into this).  read article...

Auto Mover

an auto mover can refer to one of two different services: either a broker or a carrier. technically, an auto mover would be a carrier, because they actually move your automobile; however, most carriers utilize brokerages to find vehicles to move, because brokerages number in the thousands and the vast majority of customers looking to ship their vehicles use brokerages. auto movers specialize in moving vehicles, however, so if you contract with a brokerage you’ll still be using a carrier no matter what.  read article...

We can never let our differences make us so blind with anger that we become part of the problem.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast group of fools that made him their prince.
